Have the right setup ready
Ariy provides the installation for your business and confirms the website origins where it may run. You need permission to edit the website and publish a script, plus the approved business facts, contact fallback and any booking rules.
You can add Front Desk to a supported existing website without buying a new website from Ariy. Ask for the snippet that matches your installation; copying another business’s widget connects the wrong Front Desk.
Add your installation snippet
The example below shows the floating-widget format. Replace the installation placeholder with the exact public installation key supplied by Ariy. It is not a working demo key. Never substitute a password, API secret or calendar token.
- Confirm the exact HTTPS website origin with Ariy, including www versus non-www and any separate preview domain.
- Add the approved snippet once in your website’s shared footer or script area. The host website must actually execute scripts; a text-only content block will not install it.
- Publish a controlled preview or the agreed website revision. Open it in a fresh browser window and look for the configured chat launcher.
- For an in-page assistant that can float when you scroll away, ask Ariy for the widget-embed.js version and matching mount target. Its container needs layout space; do not add both widget scripts.
Replace the placeholder with the public installation key supplied by Ariy. Add this snippet once.

Open Front Desk → Settings → Widget & employee as the business owner or admin. Check Public identity, the greeting and contact destination. The assistant can present Nia directly or use your business’s own AI assistant identity. Keep the AI introduction clear.
Confirm the launcher does not cover a phone link, booking button or important mobile content. Try opening, minimizing and reopening it with a keyboard as well as a tap.
Test an ordinary customer journey
Use harmless test details and a recipient you control. A visible widget is only the first check.
- Ask a question with a known answer, such as opening hours or service area. Compare the answer with your approved business information.
- Ask about something outside the approved scope. Check that the response asks a useful question or directs the request to a person.
- Submit one clearly identified test enquiry. Verify the conversation and contact details in Front Desk; then check who owns the next action.
- Close and reopen the widget on the same browser. Check that the conversation remains usable. Do not assume a different browser or device shares that history.
- If booking is enabled, follow the Calendar guide and verify the actual event, invitation and any required Meet link. A callback request is not a booking confirmation.
If the widget does not work
Check the page URL, installation key and script placement before adding another copy. A preview domain may need separate approval. Ask your website implementer to check content-security rules or script blocking if the loader cannot run.
If the wrong business appears, stop testing and have Ariy correct the installation. If the assistant cannot connect, keep your normal phone or email contact visible and report the page, approximate time, browser and redacted error. Never send login codes or customer transcripts in a public report.
Agree when it is ready
Launch after the business has checked the answers, identity, enquiry handoff and any enabled booking path. Keep one person responsible for changing facts and reporting problems. Phone answering, text messaging and custom integrations are separate setup work.
