Zyla's designed backstory starts in Vancouver, in a social household where cousins, friends, neighbours, music, and conversation were constantly moving through the same rooms. Growing up around a city where creative scenes, different cultures, neighbourhood hangouts, and outdoor life naturally overlap, she became good at reading energy early — who was engaged, who was being left out, and what topic suddenly had everybody talking.
Her imagined early work moved through events, independent retail, creative spaces, and community-facing roles. The pattern was less about posting content and more about understanding why people showed up, what made them stay, and which small signals could turn a loose audience into something that felt connected.
A social, creative Vancouver upbringing shaped by music, neighbourhood events, coastal city life, and overlapping circles of friends and family
